Denim
So far very few labels specialised in jeanswear have managed to come up with products of which designs are so efficient that they are timeless and bound to become iconic. The few labels that have managed to do so, succeeded because they were among the first ones using denim for garments, having made their long lasting products appealing to everyone as time went and consumers habits changed and got a more relaxed attitude toward denim, no longer exclusively reflecting that young and rebellious image but instead becoming an everyday casual clothing item rather used for it’s comfort and practicality, the once innovating labels and their products having gone out of fashion, suffering competition from newcomers with a younger image, newcomers that made jeans and denim products cool again. To keep up each brand comes up with trendier, more groundbreaking designs for their jeans, that will include me.
When it comes to designing jeans, I tend to think that bold isn’t always best of courses of action. There are few labels that manage to get bold jeans cuts and designs bang on trends. “Trends” for jeans… speaking for myself I enjoy buying a raw piece of denim that will grow old as I do, to use in my everyday life as I want these trousers to “get along” with the rest of my wardrobe. Of course I already posses trendy cuts with trendy details and trendy wash;” you can put the man in the season’s must have, but you can’t take the raw basic out of the man“. To council the basics and the trends always raises internal conflict within my mind, as I’m often likely to create bold pieces, but when like me you try to get high street retailers as stockists, well you have to soften your approach and, or go
with the flow, whilst creating, I try to abide by few rules amongst which setting few details that will make my designs unique, and making sure the aforementioned details are in harmony with the designs.
Aiming to create a product my customers will not grow tired of and to be kept as a vintage apparel.
On my own facing a blank sheet of paper, I endeavour to list the different elements that will make my jeans unique having already decided to keep them basic and having already traced the patterns corresponding to each model

About menswear
When it comes to fashion, obviously us men are not catered for as well as women designers who dare to propose groundbreaking pieces often don't get the exposure they deserve, I guess that when you are not aiming at a very restricted consummer group selling is just more difficult, we get large recognition mainly to promotion and sales for which we depend on the goodwill of retailers should we alienate our creativity?
